We're working to upgrade our gas network in the Wilderhaugh area. This project will ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply to local homes and businesses for many years to come.
We’ve split our project into three phases, shown on the map below, to minimise disruption as much as possible and keep traffic flowing. In July we completed preparation works in the A72,and during the week commencing 12 August begin phase one of our work
For the duration of our project, temporary traffic lights will be in place to allow our engineers to work and ensure everyone’s safety. The temporary traffic lights will move along the road in sections as our work progresses. Local road closures will also be in place at times at the junctions with Queen Street and Kings Street, with signed diversion routes for motorists.
During our project there will be some suspensions to on street parking at various points between Island Street and Lee Brae to ensure we gain safe access to our pipes. Access will always be given to driveways and entrance gates unless previously agreed with the occupier.
Temporary road signals will also be in use, these may cause delays during busy peak periods. We wish to assure you that work will progress as quickly as possible, and we will make every effort to minimise any inconvenience caused by our works.
Please be assured we will be working as hard and quickly as possible to complete our works and keep disruption to a minimum.
