We're replacing the gas pipe in New Street, Aylesbury. This project will replace old metal gas pipes with new PE pipe to ensure the local community continues to receive a safe and reliable gas supply.
Our contractor I&G Contractors will be completing this project on our behalf and will start work on Monday 7 October until Monday 2 December.
Our engineers will be replacing the gas mains pipe from the junction of New Street and Buckingham Road to outside the BT Offices on New Street.
We will need to install temporary two-way traffic lights in New Street at the junction of Cambridge Place and the junction of Fleet Street to allow vehicles to safely pass our work site.
We will also need to close Havelock Street and Fleet Street at their junctions with New Street. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses and a signed diversion will be in place.
We understand people can get frustrated by roadworks so we only use traffic management which we feel is efficient enough to complete these works safely for the public and our engineers.
