All four Gas Distribution Networks (GDNs) have applied to the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to develop outline plans for how a roll out of hydrogen heating might start in each of their network areas.
The aim of the outline plans is to provide further information to inform policy decisions and future roll-out plans for hydrogen heating. BEIS will decide on the proposals, announcing the results later in the year.
